Weather presents us with an early challenge with late spring night frost. Luckily knowing there were various frost pockets that made us vulnerable we have invested in the precaution of buying hundreds of French bougies to ward off the cold. They were lit five times during April and May and did their job well, so the tender vines buds came through virtually unscathed.

June and July have given us some prolonged stretches of sun and the grape bunches have formed well and are swelling nicely.
